Simply irresistable ,crisp and crunchy cookies for the evening tea is ready.
Flour 11/4 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Butter 1/2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Baking powder 1/2tsp
Soda 1/4tsp
Salt apinch
Almond essence 1tsp
Chopped almonds 1/2 cup
Few almonds cut into halves for decoration
In a large bowl mix and beat butter and sugar until soft and smooth. In another bowl mix all dry ingredients. Combine all dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Add essence and chopped almonds along with milk little by little. Use only as much milk as little to bind the dough, no need to use all the milk. Make small balls of this dough and place a almond half on all the balls. In the meantime preheat the oven at 180C. Place the balls on baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove on a wire rack and allow to cool.
