Rava Upma is my all time favorite breakfast because it is so easy and simple to prepare and at the same time it do not require too much ingredients. Making Upma does not take much time and can be done in 15-20 minutes. You can also make it in microwave oven too.
Rava (Suji) 1 cup
Peanuts 2 tbsp
Raisins 1tbsp
Onion chopped 1
Green chillies chopped 3
Ginger chopped 1tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Urad dal 1tsp
Channa dal 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Cumin 1/4 tsp
Curry patta 7-8
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tsp
Water 3 cup
Chopped coriander leaves 1tbsp

Heat water and add lemon juice and keep aside. Take a pan heat 1 tbsp oil and add rava and fry till a sweet aroma spread in the kitchen and the rava is lightly brown. Remove and keep aside. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan add peanuts and fry for 2 minutes or until lightly brown and remove and keep aside. Now in the same pan heat oil and add cumin and mustard seeds and let it splutter then add both the dal and fry for a while. Add ginger, onion and curry leaves and fry till onions are translucent. Add roasted rava and stir for 1-2 minutes.Add salt,red chilli powder and green chillies and warm water. Cook for 4-5 minutes stirring all the time until thick. Add roasted peanuts and raisins. Remove from fire and serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
