
White Bread Loaf
When there is breakfast time,nothing is better in my opinion than homemade bread. I love to bake my own breads.Here I am going to share one of my best homemade bread recipe.It has a perfect sweet touch and is amazingly soft and fluffy.Its so good fresh from oven and I can't resist the temptation of eating it immediately slathered with my freshly made strawberry jam.Lets you give it a try.
Ingredients
- All purpose flour - 3 cups+little more
- Fresh Yeast - 15g
- Milk powder - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 1 tbsp
- Salt - I tsp
- Oil or butter - 1/4 cup
- Water - 1cup
Instructions
In a small cup mix 1 tsp sugar, yeast and little warm Water. Set aside for 5 minutes or until foamy.
In a large bowl whisk flour, sugar, milk powder, and salt. Make a well in the center and add yeast mixture.Rub properly add remaining water and oil. Knead the dough to a soft,smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a clean wet tea towel.
Allow the dough to rise for 1&1/2 to 2 hrs.or until double.
Punch down and form into a loaf.Place it in a greased loaf pan.Cover and allow to rise again until it is just about the rim of the pan.
Preheat the oven at 200c.Bake it for 25 min.You can check the doneness by tapping the bottom. It sounds hollow.Remove from oven.
Once the bread comes out of the oven spread butter on top for soft crust.Let it cool completely on a wire rack before cutting the slices. Cover the loaf if you want soft crust.
